Chapter 3: Saturday June 26th, 2010

So today was the big day, and boy did it start early with having to get the women ready. The day started with a relaxing poolside massage; I will say I could defiantly do this everyday. Then we all went up to my suite and got in a shower (not the same one, love my girlfriends but don’t need to see them naked). When we got out the glam squad had arrived, Marie went to get make up, and Olivia went to hair. Liv has short hair so we decided that we would do a spiky pixy style on her for the party, and for Maries make-up we did a smoky eye and a nude lip. All the make up Liv did was just an all-natural palette. Me yea I did get my acne covered for the cameras (I mean why the hell would I want to look like crap on the society pages, DUH) and I styled my hair in my awesome faux hawk. We dressed and went to meet my mom, when I saw her I was like “MOM, OMG you look amazing! Aren’t you glad I went to get that gown for you?”

She wore the Alberta Ferretti gown paired with a silver crystal encrusted Judith Leiber clutch and some strappy, sliver Christian Dior heels, and a stunning fancy diamond necklace with a beautiful large blue sapphire by Cartier. Everyone looked amazing. We walked outside and I realized that the Bentley I rented was not going to fit the driver and us four comfortably and the girls and my self all dressed to the nines didn’t need to be sweating on top of each other.

“Damn it” I said, “I forgot that you were coming with us mom.”

“Don’t worry bud, I already took care of it.”

As she said that another white Bentley pulled in. Olivia and Marie got in the back of one and me and mom in another. “Mom you are amazing you think of everything, OH and I just wanted to tell you again that you look amazing.”

With that the motorcade of Bentleys were off. About 20 minutes later we were pulling up to another one of my friends, Alex’s, house out here, It was a modern architecture house that was all white and had windows for outer walls. The car pulled up to the security checkpoint and I handed my invitation over and then told the guard that my mom was my plus one. And 2 minutes later we were out of the car, arm in arm, walking the white carpet with all kinds of paparazzi everywhere. I got photographed alone, with mom, Olivia, Marie, and with everyone all together. We got in and found our table and the girls dropped their bags. I became a little nosey and decided to look and see who else was at our table by glancing at the other place cards. I saw that Scarlett Marion, Alyssa Cureton and her boyfriend, and OMG the hottest guy at our school Channing Dawson.

So I guess you wanna know about him, where to start he is 6’2” and probably weighs 175 pounds all of which is muscle. He is the captain of the schools football and swim teams, which means he has lots of muscle and a HOT six-pack but is not overly muscular. I saw his name and almost fainted. To take my mind off the hot guy that was going to be sitting next to me during the dinner, I grabbed Liv and Marie and we hit the dance floor. They played most of my favorite songs Hot n’ Cold by Katy Perry and Break Your Heart by Taio Cruz, but when Channing came in OMG by Usher came on and I swear its like he is an god and makes a grand entrance every time he walks in a room and doesn’t even know it, but when I saw the head of the cheerleaders Alyssa Cureton, wearing a sparkly gown with a really low cut neck, kiss him on the cheek and then walk to the table my heart dropped a little bit. Well just after that Alex Knight came out on the stage. Alex is a 5’5” African-American and was wearing this stunning Monique Lhuillier Resort 2010 gown that I swear I’ve seen Lucy Liu wear before. But hey we can’t all get clothing off the runway; some people have to wait until the collection actually hits the stores. Anyway she got up and welcomed everyone and said that dinner was going to be served soon if everyone will take his or her seats. I got to the table and took my seat next to Channing and my mother, Alyssa sat on the other side of Channing, Scarlett wearing the same Emilio Pucci dress that Kate Hudson wore to the 2010 SAG Awards looked amazing with her flaming red hair sat next to Alyssa and Marie and Olivia sat directly across from me. Marie coughed and gave a nod to the side; I knew she was talking about Channing. I gave a frown to show that it sucked he was with Alyssa.

We all talked about everything from our upcoming senior year and our plans for the rest of our summer. Channing actually asked if I had any prospective boyfriends. I was shocked, why would he care? Was he flirting? I was getting a vibe. And I just sort of blurted out “No, the guy I wanna date is straight and is dating the head cheerleader.” The table went silent and I got up and ran out of the house down to the beach. I kicked off my socks and shoes and went down on the sand and cried. Not even two minutes later my mom was there.

“Mom” I said in between sobs, “I don’t know where that came from. I really do wanna date him, and I thought I was getting this vibe that he was flirting with me.”

She held me as I cried, and then from out of nowhere I heard a familiar voice say “Excuse me mam, may I speak to CJ alone”

I looked up and it was Channing who was in his white button down shirt that had 4 buttons undone that showed off his muscular pecs and white pants. Mom said “I’ll be inside, are you ok baby?”

“I’m fine mom, I would actually like to clear things up with him.”

Mom got up and walked back to the house. “CJ, why did you run out?” He asked.

“Because I was embarrassed, because I really do have a crush on you and I know your straight and I have zero chance with you.”

I am still crying he reaches out and wipes the tears from my face. “CJ I think we can be buds, do u like that idea?”

This is the second time he has shocked me in two minutes, “Channing…wait…what?”

“I wanna be friends, I mean I know we’re school acquaintances, but I think we could be friends.”
“But your Mr. Hot Jock and I am just a skinny party boy, are u sure u wanna be friends with me?”

I know I am putting myself down but I don’t want him to loose his reputation by hanging out with me. “CJ, hey I don’t really give a fuck what people think, I am who I am and I am friends with who I want to be. If people don’t like it then fuck ‘em!”

I laughed, “Channing you are so right, but I mean I still think of image. But hey I’m the gay one and I’m out and I don’t give a fuck.”

He laughed, “So can we be friends?”

Pretending to be deep in thought “Well…of course!”

“Awesome, oh and by the way I don’t care if you’re gay or if you have a crush on me either.”

I was shocked he said that, “ Well I think we should go back in because if we are gone any longer then the gossip about us will start, like are we making out or hooking up.”

We both laughed and got up dusted the sand off of out white clothing and headed back in. When we got back inside the dinner was over and everyone was on the dance floor. “Ohh Channing, wait here”

I took out a business card and gave it to him, “My cell number is on there u ever wanna talk call me or text me.”

He took the card and put in his pocket and said thanks and we joined our tablemates who where all dancing together sans my mother as she probably went home not to bother me. We danced until like 2:30 in the morning. When the party was over we went to our respective cars; Marie, Olivia, and me got into the Bentley me in the passenger seat them in the back and headed home. When I got home I saw that I had a new text message, I didn’t recognize the number. I opened it, “CJ, glad u were able to get ur feelings off ur chest. Think we’re gonna make awesome friends. Gotta hang soon, text me. XOXO CD.”

So tonight was amazing went bad for a short second but I came out of it with a new friend, a new HOT friend

Chapter 2: Friday June 25th, 2010

So today the girls met me at my place which is a Penthouse on Park Ave. and because of this I kept their new stuff at my place. When Marie got there she was our saint carrying 3 fresh cups of Starbucks. We gave my butler Justin our bags and he took them down to the black 2010 Cadillac Escalade, that is actually my car but because we were going to be going to a fancy event I was having this so the car itself would not be crowded with luggage as this is s 2hr trip with traffic and of course in NY there is always traffic as everyone is leaving the city for the weekend to go the Hamptons to relax or as we did head out to party.

About 20 min later we were in the elevator headed down the street where an all white 2010 Bentley Flying Spur was sitting there I called shotgun and the girls got in the back and we were off. About two and a half hours later we were pulling into the gates of my mothers primary residence in the Hamptons. The house looked like an 18th century French château, we actually named the place, Castillo de Baron, corny I know but mom said it was the ultimate symbol of status. Well the service team of the house took all of our luggage to our rooms, which were really cool because when we designed my “wing” of the house I told mom I wanted a sitting room with like 4 bedrooms off of it so I can hang with friends and we can all stay in the same area and so my wish was granted. But before I could go to my room to unpack I had to visit my mother.

She is a lovely woman who until she met Henry Katherine and married him when I was 8 was a hard working nurse and single mother of 3 me and my brother, Alan Carey (30) and my sister Kristine Underbridge (31). They are pretty cool. But mom is one of the most down to earth people I know. She may be in early retirement at 52 but she has worked hard for a long time and I think she deserves it. So I went off to find her, and I knew exactly where she was going to be, in the library. Mom has always loved books and what she does is she keeps this library of books for me because I also love to read and if there is something that she thinks I am going to enjoy she puts it on the shelf if it is not she puts it in a box and when I come to visit I take them back to the city and I take them to a bunch of the schools and community centers. I walk into the library and I find exactly what I expect my mother in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt laying on the chaise with a Nora Roberts novel in her nose with Josh Groban playing over the stereo. “Mommy, Knock Knock,” I walked into the room.

“Hey bud how are you, didn’t even hear you and your friends arrive.”

“I’m good mom, and we just got here bout 2 minutes ago. I figured before we head out, I would come and see you.”

Mom looked at me like you just got here and we have had two seconds together where the hell could you possibly have to run off to so quickly. “Mom you know I am going to that party hosted by Alex right?” I asked.

“Of course, but isn’t that tomorrow night?”

“Yes mom, but I have a meeting with Alberta Ferretti to pick up a gown that was just shown in Milan for you to wear.”
“Is today the only day you can go pick it up?” She asked.

“Yes she leaves back to Italy tonight, so I have to go get it.”

With that I stood and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek “I’ll be back in about an hour. Dinner by the pool just you and me tonight?”

She looked at me giving up “I guess, what about Olivia and Marie?”

“Tyler wanted to meet us for dinner tonight, I will just say something came up and I cant so we can spend some time together. But I have to go now, I love you mom.”

With that I left the room and ran to my Escalade and turned the key and sped off to meet with Alberta. She gave me this stunning gown from her resort collection that showed like 4 days ago, it has an umpire waist line and looks simply elegant with a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. That night me and mom had a dinner of Filet Minogn with béarnaise sauce and asparagus and scalloped potatoes. As we ate I told her about the colleges I was going to apply to, when I mentioned I wanted to apply to Florida State University, she had a fit. I told her it was my second option if I did not get accepted to NYU. And that I got a job as fashion assistant at Vogue and that come September I would be taking four weeks off school to travel to see all the shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris. Again she was not happy but she eventually folded saying that I was actually serious about working in fashion and could not understand my interest in getting a degree in theater. I told her theater is my joy and fashion is my love, and that if this internship works out I will basically have a job there by the end of high school, and that I already talked to Anna Wintour about working and going to school and the possibility of school in Florida, and she said that if I went to Florida that there would be a job held for me as long as I still wanted it. After dinner I excused my self to my room where I am now writing this, well I guess I have caught up to my day and nothing exciting is gonna happen now except that I am going to jump in the shower and put on fresh Calvin Klein boxer briefs. Throw on some James Horner soundtrack music, I’m thinking Bravehart, to relax me to sleep and then sleep. Big day tomorrow.

Chapter 1: Thursday June 24, 2010

Hey I’m Charles Johnson Baron, but I go by CJ for short. Funny thing is, I used to hate when people called me by anything other than Charles. I’m weird I know, but I believe that my mom gave me the name and that is what I should go by. But I am an actor and yea Charles is a dramatic name, but I want to work in a major industry be it acting or in fashion. But a little more about me I’m 17 and live as the son of a Socialite in Manhattan. I am a prep school kid. I am 5’ 10” and weigh 120 pounds, I style my hair into a faux hawk (one of those sexy Zac Efron style ones not emo or anything). I am a social butterfly in NYC; I have some pretty amazing stories and have met some amazing people. Ohhh and another big this I’m gay, came out when I was 15 and was accepted by my whole family and my closest friends and most of my school. And despite being openly gay and a social butterfly IM STILL SINGLE! Grrr, I mean I have lots of eye candy at my school, but none of the guys into are into me; But its whatever.

Well I guess I’ll just get to the journal stuff, I guess that this paper doesn’t want know all about what I look like or my problems. Well I am a bit of a fashionista, the perfect companion to a woman. You do know what they say “Behind every fabulous woman there is an even more fabulous gay.” Well me and my two BFFs, Olivia Grace and Marie Whittaker, were going to charity event at a one of our friends house on in the Hamptons. It is gonna be one of those exclusive “White Parties” where everyone has to wear white. Well we were like there are gonna be photographers there for a few publications and that we need to look our best. Well I was on 5th Ave the other day just doing some window critiquing with one of my friends that lives in Brooklyn and in the Saks 5th Avenue Men’s Store, was this stunning white paisley Tom Ford blazer and I was like where the hell can I wear this to. At the time I couldn’t figure it out, but bout 4 days later I got this invitation and was like AWESOME! Well Olivia, Marie, and I have been shopping buddies for a long time and they were in the same boat as I was so we decided to get together today to find the perfect outfits.

We all met outside Saks and then hit the 3rd floor first to find outfits for the girls first. The event is a formal thing so we decided to find Marie a gown and Olivia a fancy pants look (She is a bit more butch). Well I was searching the racks in the Donna Karan section and I see this STUNNING white draped goddess gown that has this one like wing sleeve and the other was sleeveless and was just amazing. “Marie come over here” I said and showed her the gown.

She was like “OMG CJ this is PERFECT, now all I need are accessories.”

“Well as you know that is what I do best.” I said.

And it is, see I have this eye for all things glamorous, so I went to the shoe floor and I swear it was like a moment from god. On a pedestal with a spotlight beaming upon them sitting right in front of me was a pair of Christian Louboutin Very Prive stilettos that were covered in a silver glitter. They were the perfect Cinderella shoes. I quickly got them in her size and moved to find a bag. Well Marie has this edge to her elegant style and there was this silver Balenciaga motorcycle clutch and was like PERFECT. All that was left was to get a stunning statement necklace; I found this Vera Wang collar necklace that was just a neck ring looked stunning. Next was Olivia, she had found a pair of white Carolina Herrera silk wide leg pants, and a sleeveless Alexander Wang cowl neck tank top. I got her a pair of white, studded Christian Louboutin high-top sneakers. So with them done we made our way to the men’s shop, I told the sales associate about the jacket that had been in the window, she informed me that the jacket had been sold out except for the one last in the window. She was not gonna allow me to buy it, and I know the guy who designs the windows. I gave him a call and talked to him, he told me that the jacket in the window would indeed fit me and that if I could put an outfit together by tom ford and put it in the window I could take it. I grabbed a new tie and blazer and the woman let me in the window, I removed the old jacket and tie and put the new on. As I came out of the window with the jacket I gave the sales woman a fuck you look. I then proceeded to buy a pair of white Gucci tuxedo pants, and a white Versace shirt and white bow tie, and I also got a new pair of white Christian Louboutin studded loafers and a new pair of Dior aviator sunglasses. The total for me and my girlfriends was like $13,000. The girls each reached for their own platinum cards, but I was quicker pulling my indestructible AmEx Black out of my Prada wallet. “Girls please, we are going as a group and I picked everything out so let this be my treat. You can pay the driver for the weekend ok?”

They agreed and we were off. After we left Saks we stopped off at Starbucks, we ordered our usual, mine which is a Venti Vanilla Bean Frap blended with strong coffee, and we sat scouted out hot guys as we so many of summer days did. That was my day today lots of cute guys but still no numbers, maybe at this party this Saturday.
